Untold Legacies will uncover the decisive, often overlooked, Spanish contributions to the American Revolution – from the covert financial networks of King Charles III to the pivotal Gulf Coast campaigns of Bernardo de Galvez. Discover how these historical alliances laid the foundation for the enduring cultural, social and democratic ties that shape modern America.

Internally-acclaimed guitarist Carlos E. Tenor and the magnificent dancer María José Delgado will take you on a flamenco adventure that showcases the richness and timelessness of hispanic heritage worldwide.

In a symposium presented by the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute (QSSI) and the Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC), join us for lectures, panel discussions, and other activities exploring Spain’s pivotal contributions to the American Revolution. Featuring distinguished scholars from both sides of the Atlantic, the symposium will offer a rigorous and engaging exploration of Spanish Louisiana’s strategic, social, and cultural role during the American Revolution.

Octopus on the grill; paella on bonfire coals; the freshest Andalusian gazpacho; a tortilla de patatas competition; and artisanal village bread from a wood-fired oven... Delight in the flavors of Spain in the 4th annual Louisiana PaellaFest / La Noche de los Arroceros. In the 250th year of the Declaration of Independence, learn from historians about Colonial Louisiana and Spain's Contributions to the American Revolution. Events are organized and hosted by the Order of Granaderos y Damas de Gálvez, La Luisiana Chapter. As events are announced, they will be listed.

One Spanish oven; breads from many countries. Doughs, recipes, memories and bakers from around the world will gather around a single oven to celebrate bread in all of its forms. Master bakers will be present to share techniques with amateur and family bakers alike. If you love to bake, please come! But make sure to bring some dough for us to bake in the oven!

La Asociación EspaÑOLA de Nueva Iberia, Inc. (LAENI) is a nonprofit volunteer organization incorporated in the City of New Iberia, Louisiana to serve as a vehicle for the recognition and promotion of the Spanish ancestry and culture in New Iberia and throughout Louisiana.

Immerse yourself in a storied Spanish artform, Flamenco! Beginner and Intermediate Flamenco dance classes are available.
